Office of the President
The campus is always so beautiful in the fall - it is truly breathtaking to look out my window in Guerin Hall across the campus at the brilliant colors!
Students on campus and online are busy with papers and projects, looking forward already to the Thanksgiving break. It's during this time that I feel a deep sense of gratitude for those who love this College ... for all those who have been a part of her 175 years. There are many stories of sacrifice, from Saint Mother Theodore's journey to the Sisters of Providence who saved their allowances to help build Guerin and the Conservatory over 100 years ago to today with students creating fundraisers to help the College's Woods Fund and the Classes of 1964 and 1965 gifting $1 million!
As we conclude a year of celebrating 175 years of excellence in education, I cannot help but think about the future of our Woods. Currently, we have teams working on the Aspire Higher Strategic Plan, a new campus master plan, the Coed Implementation Team and a group dedicated to improving our online program as part of the Woods Online Taskforce. There are many signs of progress and Providence at work in our daily lives here on campus.
Wishing you all the best,
