Kindergarten-Grade 6 Education Associate Degree

The Kindergarten-Grade 6 Education Associate Degree prepares students to assist in teaching children in regular education settings. Generally students with this degree are in the role of a paraeducator or paraprofessional.

The Kindergarten-Grade 6 Education Associate Degree is often considered a “stepping stone” for students who wish to continue their studies for a Kindergarten-Grade 6 Education baccalaureate degree and a teaching license. Two bachelor’s degree programs are built on the K-Grade 6 associate degree, Kindergarten-Grade 6 with Minor and Kindergarten-Grade 6/Mild Intervention.
