Baccalaureate Degree leading to a Teaching License

Nine baccalaureate degree programs are available to help prepare teacher candidates to obtain an Indiana Initial Practitioner (two-year) Professional Educator License.

Baccalaureate Degree + Teaching Licensure programs are designed for students who have not obtained a baccalaureate degree.

Students who have already obtained a bachelor's degree may pursue teacher licensure by completing a licensure only program.

Early Childhood / Childcare Education

Education Bachelor's Degree

The Early Childhood / Early Childhood Mild Intervention Bachelor's Degree prepares educators to teach children from birth to grade 3 in facilities/settings that do not require an Indiana teaching license.

Education Associate Degrees

The department offers two associates degrees for students wishing to care for and teach young child. The Associate degrees are often considered a "stepping stone" for students who wish to continue their studies for a baccalaureate degree and teaching license.
