Paralegal Studies has gone high-tech. We've created a facebook group to allow prospective students to learn more about the paralegal program, a place for current students to post news and events, and a way for alums to keep connected with the happenings within the program.

What can you do on our Paralegal Facebook?
Prospective Students
- Join our Facebook group.
- Post some questions to current students or alums.
- Check out the various pages on the SMWC website about the program and the opportunities at the Woods.
- Invite your friends to join.
- Invite me to speak at your school on anything law related, including but not limited to the Paralegal profession.
- Plan to attend Law Day and visit the college. The next Law Day is September 28, 2010.
Current Students
- Join our Facebook group.
- Post some comments on your experiences at the Woods.
- Connect with an alum to gain a valuable contact and wonderful advice.
- Post questions/get answers.
- Win a lunch/dinner from me for recruiting a student who successfully enrolls in our paralegal program.
- Contact your old high schools, or high schools in your area, and offer to speak to classes or to counselors about the value of a paralegal education.
- Host a prospective paralegal student for a visit.
Alums
- Join our Facebook group.
- Post some comments on your experiences at the Woods.
- Let us know of job openings in your area.
- Keep us posted on things that you do in your community and your profession.
- Provide information on continuing education opportunities in your area. Who knows? We might show up!
- Invite people in your community to join.
- Encourage people you know to check out our program and consider seeking a degree or if they have a degree, seeking a post-Baccalaureate certificate.
- Make yourselves available to Mentor our current students.
- Host a get acquainted meeting and invite me or the Enrollment Management staff. Alumnae/SMARTS to host receptions.
- Provide information on local community colleges that might be interested in an articulation agreement with SMWC. This might be from a criminal justice or paralegal program, at the least.
- Call or email prospective students from a list provided by Enrollment Management.
- Win a lunch/dinner from me for recruiting a student who successfully enrolls in our paralegal program.
- Contact your old high schools, or high schools in your area, and offer to speak to classes or to counselors about the value of a paralegal education.
- Attend an event to speak or to have lunch with current paralegal students.
- Become an Advisory Board member.
- Find opportunities for me to speak to schools or professionals in your area.
