Moore signs letter of intent with SMWC
June 20, 2013
Saint Mary-of-the-Woods College head basketball coach Deanna Bradley announced a new addition to the Pomeroy basketball team. On Friday, June 7, Stephanie Moore signed a letter of intent to join the Pomeroys for the 2013-14 season.
Coach Bradley believes Moore will add to the speed of the Pomeroy lineup for next season. “We are looking to go up-tempo and play run-and-gun basketball,” Bradley said. “With her quickness and the way she moves her feet, Stephanie fits that profile perfectly. Right now we have two really good point guards that can move the ball up the court but we are hoping that eventually we can develop Stephanie into a third so that we can run three platoons.”
The 5-foot-7 guard from Paoli High School in Paoli, Ind., who averaged 7ppg (points per game), 4rpg (rebounds per game), and shot 45% from the field, helped the Rams to a 21-2 record this past season while winning back-to-back Patoka Lake Conference and Sectional Championships.
Moore, the daughter of James Moore and Stormy Guthrie, plans on studying biology at SMWC.
