The Saint Mary-of-the-Woods College Cross Country Team has had three very good seasons. At the 2011 USCAA National Championship Race, the team finished in 3rd place. Stephanie Runyon '13 (Noblesville, Ind.) earned a National Championship title and was named All-American. In both their inaugural year (2009) and the following year (2010) the team won the USCAA Cross Country Nationals. The team is headed up by Coach Danelle Readinger, and Assistant Coach Aaron Ballenger.
