Saint Mary-of-the-Woods College head cross country coach Danelle Readinger is proud to announce a new addition to the Pomeroy cross country team.  On Friday, June 13, Lacey Humphrey signed a letter of intent to join the Pomeroys for the 2014 season.

Humphrey is from Terre Haute, Ind. and attended Terre Haute North Vigo High School.  An excellent student, Humphrey was on the Honor Roll all four years and recently graduated with the Academic Honors Diploma.  Although she did not run cross country since her middle school years, she was an avid participant and lettered in the marching band and music program at Terre Haute North.

Readinger is proud to welcome the fourth signee of the 2014 class and newest member of the Pomeroy squad.  “Lacey is a very dedicated person with great inner strength.  Her dedication and strength will be a great asset to the team and we are so excited to have her joining us in the fall.”

Humphrey also expressed her excitement in joining with the Pomeroy team this fall.  “I'm really excited to have the opportunity to run for SMWC and I can't wait to meet the other girls on the team,” said Humphrey.  “It's already an exciting start to my first year of college.”

Lacey is the daughter of Ryan and Jerusha Humphrey and plans to major in humanities at SMWC.
