Pomeroys compete at the Indiana Intercollegiates

Bloomington, Ind. – The SMWC cross country team was one of 26 Indiana schools competing at the Indiana Intercollegiate meet at Indiana University Golf Course on Friday afternoon.  The meet was ran and scored in two divisions: large and small school.  As a team, SMWC placed 14th out of 18 teams in the small school division.   

Logan Fry led the pack once again for the Pomeroys.  She finished the five-kilometer race in the top-25 with a time of 20:08.  She placed 22nd in the small school division and 70th overall of 201 total runners.  Erin Harnett came in second for SMWC, finishing with a time of 22:49.  Sarah Wichman (23:04), Kelsey Wright (23:32), Corianna Frederick (23:36), and Sarah Hudson (24:28) rounded out the team scoring for SMWC. 

The Pomeroy cross country team will return to action on Saturday, Oct. 5 when they travel to Louisville, Ky. and take part in the Greater Louisville Open at Tom Sawyer State Park.  The women’s race is scheduled for a 9:30 a.m. start.
