DeBoy signs letter of intent with SMWC
May 27, 2014
Saint Mary-of-the-Woods College head soccer coach Mike Aycock is proud to announce a new addition to the Pomeroy soccer team. On Tuesday, May 27, Jordan DeBoy signed a letter of intent to join the Pomeroys for the 2014 season.
DeBoy is a 2013 graduate of William Henry Harrison High School in West Lafayette, Ind. She is a lifelong player and student of the game, playing on TIPPCO travel teams and enjoying a four-year high school career with her first two years at West Lafayette High School and last two at Harrison High School. A versatile midfielder, DeBoy helped to lead the Raiders to a sectional title in 2011, scoring the winning goal against Lafayette Jefferson High School. Training at one time with the Haitian women’s national team, she has since trained year-round with FC Indiana and brings a very solid set of technical skills to college soccer. DeBoy is now the third soccer signee for the 2014 recruiting class.
Pomeroy coach Mike Aycock sees her as a player and student with a big commitment to soccer and has huge potential. “Jordan brings a focus to the details of the game that will be a great asset to us, both on the match field and the training field,” said Aycock. “She will no doubt help us as a player, but, even better, will help challenge our other players’ technical skills. We’re delighted to have her.”
Jordan is the daughter of Jeff DeBoy and plans to major in education at SMWC.
