Saint Mary-of-the-Woods College head soccer coach Mike Aycock is proud to announce that Morgan Samuelson, a 2012 graduate of South Vermillion High School, has transferred from the University of Indianapolis and has accepted a soccer scholarship with the Pomeroys.  On Monday, August 5, Samuelson signed her letter of intent to join the Pomeroys for the 2013 season.

A central midfielder, Samuelson was a key player for all four years for the Wildcats. In her junior and senior years, she led the team in scoring and was named both years to the All Western Indiana Conference Team. She established herself as a leader in fitness and athleticism, always pushing her Wildcat teammates by her example.

Samuelson also brings an impressive academic record and high ambitions to The Woods, transferring in a perfect 4.0 grade point average.

Pomeroy coach Mike Aycock sees her as a player and student with a lot of potential. “Morgan brings a ton of athleticism with her, having played multiple sports very successfully in high school. I really look forward to seeing how she will push the rest of us as athletes and grow, herself, as a player at this level of competition. More than that, she will be a great addition to the college as a student and role model.”
