Saint Mary-of-the-Woods College head softball coach Gary Rogers announced a new edition to the Pomeroy softball team. On Wednesday, January 23, Breanna Lange signed a letter of intent to join the Pomeroys for the 2013-2014 season.
“Bree is very athletic and we will take full advantage of her quickness as a middle infielder and in the outfield,” said Rogers. “As a pitcher, she has good control of all her pitches and can locate them very well. It will be hard to keep her out of the lineup.”
Lange is a pitcher, second baseman, and outfielder from Hauser High School in Hope, Ind. As a junior last season for the Lady Jets, she pitched 12 wins, had an 2.02 ERA (earned run average), and 93 strikeouts with five shutouts. Lange is an All-Conference selection and two-time The Republic Newspaper All-Area team player. She currently plays for the Indianapolis Smoke travel team.
Lange is the daughter of Shawn and Shelley and has a sister named Hailey.
