Social Life & Events

Life on campus at The Woods will open a whole new set of opportunities for you.  You'll meet, date, and fall in and out of love with friends from other colleges in the area, just like you would at a coed institution.  Your life at a women's college is as rich as life at a coed institution with the extra advantages of an education that's focused solely on you and what you want to achieve.

Game On

If you've got game, bring it on. Athletics at The Woods is, simply put, competitive. Challenge yourself; be among the 25% of our undergraduate students who participate in athletics. We are a member of the United States Collegiate Athletic Association (USCAA) and the Intercollegiate Horse Show Association (IHSA).  Our athletes excel in a variety of sports: basketball, cross country running, equestrian, golf, soccer and softball.

Student Clubs & Organizations

It's easy to make your mark on The Woods community. With our clubs & organizations, residencies, and friendly atmosphere you'll be able to share your aspirations and passions with new friends composed of faculty, staff, and fellow students.

Interested in computers?  Psychology your thing? Or maybe you're just full of drama.  No matter what your area of interests, we've got a club or organization for you.  Don't see one you like?  Start your own.  Get the leadership skills employers are seeking.

Life at The Woods is never dull, and variety is the name of the game. In addition to the club meetings, athletic events, plays, and concerts that regularly take place on campus, the student activities committee often plans special events for students to enjoy including comedy and casino nights, musical performances, and presentations by hypnotists and magicians.  There are also opportunities to participate in a wide range of volunteer and service activities through involvement with the Peace & Justice Committee and Campus Ministry.

Bottom line, you'll have plenty of opportunities to stay physically, mentally, and emotionally fit; experience an active academic and social life; and develop strong bonds with faculty, staff, and your fellow students.
