SMWC Western Equestrian Team Claims High Point Award
The Saint Mary-of-the-Woods College (SMWC) Western Equestrian Team hosted two western shows in its eleven-team region Saturday, October 30, 2010. The team posted outstanding performance as they earned the Reserve High Point Team award, with Purdue University winning the High Point Team award. The afternoon show’s performance was even more outstanding with the team winning the High Point award, with Purdue coming in second earning the Reserve High Point Team award.

Spooky Sprint Halloween Fun Run
There is more in store this Halloween than just the typical tricking and treating. Join Saint Mary-of-the-Woods College (SMWC) on Oct. 29, 2010 at 5:00 p.m. EST for a spooky sprint at the Halloween Fun Run. The event will have a costume contest and prizes will be awarded to the top 10 runners.

SMWC Equestrian Team Earns Reserve High Point Team
The SMWC Western Team kicked off the first two shows of the season on Saturday, October 23, 2010. Morgyn Purdy was awarded Reserve High Point Rider in the second show. The next show, hosted by SMWC, will be on October 30th at 9 a.m. and 1 p.m.

Pomeroy Cross Country Takes 2nd Place in St. Louis
The SMWC Cross Country team competed in Forest Park, St. Louis, MO., this weekend against a field of NCAA Division II and NAIA teams. Sophomore Stephanie Runyon and Freshman Logan Fry lead the way for SMWC through the one-mile point as the team pushed through the race. It was a successful day for the Pomeroys as three runners finished in the top 15, while the team finished 2nd overall. The Cross Country team’s season comes to a close November 4-5th at the USCAA Cross Country Nationals. The Cross Country Nationals will take place at New Hampshire Tech in Concord, New Hampshire.

Pomeroy Soccer Team Completes First Winning Season of Program, Seniors Honored
On October 23, 2010 the Soccer team completed the first winning season of their program as they competed against Robert Morris-Springfield, winning the match 5-0.

Pomeroys Host the Oaks, Match Ends in Draw
On Tuesday, the Soccer team hosted the Oaks of Oakland City University. A hard-played match that ended in a draw, scoring 2-2.
