Equine holiday ride at The Woods
December 7th, 2012 | By SMWC
This time of year, traditions are everywhere, but there’s nothing like the distinctive annual equine holiday ride at Saint Mary-of-the-Woods College (SMWC). On Monday, December 10, 2012, the seniors, faculty, staff and special guests of the SMWC Department of Equine Studies will ride majestic horses, singing Christmas carols as they journey across the campus. Students and their horses will be decked in holiday garb. The public and the campus community are welcome to enjoy the sound of jingle bells, the clip-clop of the horses’ hooves and songs celebrating the season.
President Dottie King, Ph.D., will join the seniors as she rides horseback and spreads Christmas cheer.
