Saint Mary-of-the-Woods College students are scaring up some cash with the Halloween Haunted Conservatory. Sponsored by the Music Therapy Club, the event will be held Friday, October 29, 2010 from 6 p.m. – 10 p.m. at the Saint Mary-of-the-Woods College Conservatory of Music.

The Haunted Conservatory will include two floors for visitors to decide on their experience. The first floor children eight and under will not have a fright but will enjoy a trick-or-treat party. The second floor promises many creepy, chills and thrills for those over the age of nine.

As guests enter the main doors of the Conservatory, tour guides will greet them. Haunted tours of the second floor will occur while new groups in Cecilian Auditorium view a unique documentary about the history of the conservatory building.

The fundraiser will provide a financial boost for the Conservatory the effort to help make improvements to the 97-year-old campus landmark. “We want to sponsor an event for students to give back to the College while they are still students,” explained Nicole Wieg president of the Music Therapy Club.

The Haunted Conservatory is free and open to the public. Admission is a suggested $3 or a free-will donation.
