Family Day at The Woods - June 14

Again this year, the Sisters of
Providence and Saint Mary-of-the-Woods College are collaborating to
sponsor Family Day at The Woods. This year's event will be held on
Sunday, June 14, from 1 to 5 p.m., in Foley Park in front of Providence
Center and in the nearby areas. The Church of the Immaculate Conception
will also be a venue. Circle your calendar and plan to attend for a
simple, fun-filled afternoon with a variety of games and activities.
What kind of activities, you ask? Performances: choirs, handbells, a
storyteller, a roaming balloon clown and a puppeteer. Games: duck pond;
bean bag toss; golf marshmallow drive. Activities: crafts; The
Incredible Journey of a Water Molecule; sidewalk chalk art; face
painting; eco-obstacle course; hay wagon ride; alpacas; and tour bus
rides. Chair or hand massage for adults. And an opportunity to be in a
Kazoo Band parade!
The event is free and open to the public. Hot dogs, buns, condiments,
Pepsi products and popcorn are also free. Donations are accepted.
