On June 2, Saint Mary-of-the-Woods College (SMWC) welcomed Gwen Tucker as the College's new Director of Alumnae Relations.

Tucker earned a bachelor of science degree from Purdue University, and she graduated from the Master of Leadership Development program at SMWC in May 2008. Before coming to The Woods, she served in several capacities at Hamilton Center, a non-profit community mental health center located in central and west-central Indiana with locations in 10 counties.

As Director of Alumnae Relations, Tucker will be responsible for alumnae event planning on and off campus, serving as the primary liaison to SMWC's National Alumnae Board of Directors and making individual cultivation and solicitation calls on donors and prospects.

“We are very excited to have Gwen join the staff at Saint Mary-of-the-Woods College,” said Debra Purviance, Vice President for Development at SMWC. “Gwen brings with her a very unique background and skill set that will benefit the College in many ways, and she has the personality and drive to make a significant impact within our organization.”
