Welcome to Saint Mary-of-the-Woods College

Saint Mary-of-the-Woods College is an incredibly rich and vibrant academic community. Amazing opportunities await you here. Orientation will introduce you to the services and resources that you will need to get the most out of life at SMWC.

We offer two different orientation sessions. All orientation sessions will be held in Le Fer Hall.

You will meet other students, meet the staff members, attend social events, and learn about the Sisters of Providence. Other activities will include a computer orientation session, a faculty-student picnic, field games, and Life at The Woods 101. Commuter students are welcome to stay in the residence hall during orientation weekend. If you wish to take advantage of this opportunity, please contact the Campus Life office at (812) 535-5219.

Freshmen

The first session is for those students who have not attended College or have only attended College for one semester. You will attend the four-day session beginning August 19th at 8:30 a.m. in the Le Fer Ballroom. Link to schedule.

Transfer Students

If you have attended College and have at least 24 credits, you are invited to attend the transfer orientation beginning August 21st. The two-day, transfer student orientation, will be held in Sullivan Lounge.
