Saint Mary-of-the-Woods College has several types of facilities available for public rental. Whether you are planning a conference, seminar, wedding, family reunion, dance, summer camp, or meeting, Conferences and Non-Credit Programs can help you with your facility needs. Wireless internet access is available throughout campus. All events are catered through Sodexo Catering.
Perfect for formal occasions and large business functions, the Ballroom in Le Fer has high ceilings and grand style in keeping with Le Fer Hall's Italian Renaissance architecture. The hardwood floor, valenced windows, and chandelier lighting add grace and period charm to any event. The room is equipped with 60" round tables and chairs for the capacity seating of 250 guests. Catering is arranged through Sodexo Catering.
Located on the first floor of the Rooney Library, this bookcase lined, wood paneled room has parquet floors, and a marble fireplace. Able to accommodate up to 80 people for a lecture, it can also serve about 50 people at round tables for dinner or a meeting.
Located in Le Fer Hall, this small, elegant room accommodates up to 40 people. Its furnishings reflect the Italian Renaissance architecture of Le Fer Hall, it is carpeted, has floor-length draperies, chandelier lighting, and an inglenook fireplace. The formal parlor is a perfect space for a quiet, creative meeting or a small reception.
Guerin Rotunda/Interior Garden
The Guerin Hall rotunda and interior garden are ideal for small weddings, receptions, and reunions. Small gatherings of 50 to 100 guests are perfect for this space. Spaces can be rented together or separately.
Each of the meeting rooms located in Rooney Library has the technology resources for professional presentations using your own laptop or our computers. When setting up your event, please let us know if you will need the technology resources. Advanced set-up is recommended.
Meeting Room I
Also known as the Faculty Lounge, this large meeting space is perfect for presentations and meetings. Conference tables may be arranged in a variety of ways to meet your needs. This room is equipped with smart technology allowing for interactive presentations, large projection screen, theatre-style sound system, and wireless Internet. Located on the third floor of Rooney Library, this room will seat 80 people at tables, 120 seated theatre style.
Alumnae Board Room
Located on the second floor of the Rooney Library, this room is perfect for small meetings, webinars, or training sessions. The versatile table(s) arrangement will accommodate 16 to 24 people. Table(s) can be arranged in a large oval setting as pictured, a circular table, or a rectangular table. The room is equipped with a computer, projector, large screen and speaker phone.
Meeting Room II
Located on the third floor of Rooney Library, this room will seat 50 people at tables The ability to divide the space into two areas makes it perfect for small break-out group meetings.
Classrooms are perfect for small meetings and workshops. The typical classroom contains tables and chairs that are easily moved and configured to meet your seating requirements. Old fashioned blackboards combined with modern technology allows for maximum visual aids. Occupancy will be based on the specific classroom.
Located in the Conservatory of Music, Cecilian Auditorium seats up to 720 people on the main floor and balcony. Cecilian is a beautiful theatre with proscenium stage, stage curtains, and spot and stage lighting.
Designed as a large lecture hall, Hayes Auditorium seats 220 people at individual chairs/desks. The seating is raked making sightlines clear for the audience.
Woods Conference Center
Small conference center consisting of one main room with adjoining kitchen/dining area and two classrooms. Between the classrooms and the main room is a small lounge and restroom.
Art Gallery featuring movable pedestals, spot lights, and carpeted walls for easy hanging of art work. Gallery has outside entrance to a patio area as well as an indoor entrance. Depending on how space is used, occupancy would be 30 to 50 people.
Guest rooms are suite-type rooms containing queen and twin sized beds. Rent a room, a suite, a floor, or the entire Guest House for your stay on campus.
Resident Hall Rooms
In summer months large groups can come together in our beautiful Le Fer Hall. A residence hall during the academic year, Le Fer can accommodate summer groups overnight of up to 150 people in air conditioned comfort. Perfect accommodations for conferences, seminars, retreats, and family reunions.
