Parade of Engineers
Parade of Engineers is a two day camp that will ignite creativity, build confidence, and increase problem-solving skills of girls who have just finished kindergarten through third grade while introducing engineering concepts, such as wheel and axle and spatial skills, through the development of a parade float. Day one will introduce campers to the class concepts in a practical but active approach and allow the campers to be guided through a creativity process toward the development of a parade float. Day two will reinforce the concepts learned during day one and the campers will address any needed changes by using their engineering, problem solving, and creativity skills. The campers will round out day two by building their own, real life, float as a group then parade around campus. Family and friends are invited to attend the parade and listen to the campers present what they have learned. All camp participants will take home a GoldieBox and the Parade Float set!
