Saint Mary-of-the-Woods College is providing Ivy Tech Grants to qualifying students who graduate from Ivy Tech Community College and enroll in SMWC's campus-based or distance-based degree programs.

Ivy Tech graduates are automatically awarded the Ivy Tech Grants when they enroll as a degree-seeking student. Just complete our online application for admission - no separate application is required.  The grant is applied toward the cost of tuition.

Ivy Tech students may also be eligible for additional scholarships and need-based aid.

$ 2,500 IVY TECH GRANT (CAMPUS PROGRAM)

Applied towards the cost of tuition for female Ivy Tech Community College graduates who are accepted as full-time students in SMWC's campus-based program. Grants can be awarded yearly for up to three (3) years if the student maintains full-time status and meets renewal criteria. The Ivy Tech Grant will be awarded in addition to any Merit-based Transfer Scholarships for which the student may qualify.

$ 2,000 IVY TECH GRANT (DISTANCE PROGRAM)

Applied towards the cost of tuition for male and female Ivy Tech Community College graduates who are accepted as at least half-time students in SMWC's Woods Online program. Grants can be awarded yearly for up to three (3) years if the student maintains at least half-time status and meets renewal criteria.

Beginning July 1, 2012 the amount awarded to students for this grant will be based on the students enrollment.

Full-time (12+ credit hours per semester) =  $2,000 per year ($1,000 per semester)

Less than full-time (6 - 11 credit hours per semester) = $1,000 per year ($500 per semester)

Less than half-time (below 6 credit hours per semester) = not eligible

$ 3,000 SMWC PROMISE GRANT

To show support for the proposed Hoosier College Promise, Saint Mary-of-the-Woods College has announced the creation of the SMWC Promise Grant. The SMWC Promise Grant is a $3,000 need-based grant that will be awarded to female Ivy Tech Community College graduates from families who earn $60,000 or less annually, and the grant will be applied towards the cost of tuition for SMWC's undergraduate campus-based program. The SMWC Promise Grant will be awarded in addition to any Merit-based scholarships (see above) for which the student may qualify and replaces the Ivy Tech Grant.
