Hello Pomeroys!
My name is Molly Coomer, and I am a senior Nursing student at Saint Mary-of-the-Woods College. During my time here, I’ve been fortunate to be involved in many organizations, including SMTG Scholars and Leadership Team, Student Nurses Association (where I serve as Treasurer), the cheer team, and most importantly, the Presidential Corps — where I proudly serve as President.

The Presidential Corps is often recognized on campus, but not everyone knows exactly what we do. We are an elite, professional group of student leaders who represent both the College and the Office of the President at key events. Our values — leadership, professionalism, service and continuous learning — guide everything we do. You’ll see us supporting important traditions like Ring Day and Commencement, assisting at Board of Trustees meetings and engaging at alumni events both on and off campus.
Our members also have opportunities to connect with community leaders and gain real-world leadership experience. Last year, we attended ICI Statehouse Day, met with Stephen Holman, chief executive officer of Union Hospital, and Emily Murray, executive director of CODA. Service is equally important to us, with favorite events like Clothe-a-Child during the holiday season and the Light Your Way Christmas Parade.
As President, much of my role happens behind the scenes. I work closely with our advisor, Peggy Nash, and with President Brennan Randolph, whose support and leadership make our work possible. This fall, we’re excited to welcome new members, host alumni and trustee events and continue giving back through service and leadership opportunities. Looking ahead, we’re preparing for annual traditions like the Alumni Tea Party, the Professionalism Etiquette Dinner and ICI Day at the Statehouse.
I am so excited for this year and grateful for the chance to lead such a dynamic group. Be sure to keep an eye out for Presidential Corps around campus and in the community — we’re proud to represent SMWC!
