A message from the Advancement Officer

The leaves are changing, the temperatures are (slowly) dropping. The season of fall is here! Do you remember visiting campus or being at The Woods during the fall? You might be thinking there is nothing like it – the beauty, the vibrant colors or the crisp air that brings a new peace to many.
Whether you had your own student experience at The Woods, or visited a friend or family member, there is a different feeling that comes over this place when it comes to the fall season. The beautiful colors splashing from the trees. The cool breeze may remind you of chilly walks to class. The blend of all the leaves falling in front of buildings like Guerin Hall and Le Fer Hall.
As SMWC comes off of a successful Homecoming weekend, a question often asked was “When should I give?” or “When is the best time to give?” The answer is simple – always and when the time is right for you. There is never a bad time to make a gift to the Woods Fund. If the fall season is busy for you, setting a recurring gift may be best for your schedule, ensuring that an automatic gift is made each month. How can you set a recurring gift? It’s easy! Go to giving.smwc.edu and click the box that says “recurring donation.” If you were not able to join us for Homecoming 2025, I encourage you to visit campus, take a walk and remember why it’s easy to fall in love with The Woods.
There are multiple ways to make a gift to the Woods Fund:
- Make a one-time gift by visiting giving.smwc.edu
- Fulfill your pledge by visiting giving.smwc.edu or call 888-769-0013
