1. Why did you choose SMWC?
I chose Saint Mary-of-the-Woods College because I felt sure that this place would become my home. The feeling of certainty that I felt about The Woods was overwhelming, and I knew that my time here would change my life for the better.
2. Why did you choose your major?
I chose to major in Pre-Art Therapy, Psychology and Art to further develop myself as a student, artist and human. I’ve always dreamed of utilizing my passion for art to help others, and the majors that I’ve chosen will equip me to do so. As someone who wishes to become a helping professional, the degrees that I’ve pursued at SMWC will lay the groundwork for me to achieve my goals.
3. What is your favorite place on campus?
My favorite place on campus would be the Blessed Sacrament Chapel within the Church of the Immaculate Conception. This Chapel has heard my prayers, held me in pensive silence and witnessed the immense gratitude that I grant all to God and the faith community I have found here.
4. What is a favorite memory you have from your Woods experience?
My favorite memory at The Woods would be joining hands and singing the Ring Song after our choir concerts in the Church of the Immaculate Conception. There aren’t words enough to describe how special it is to hold the hands of my best friends, to look out and see the eyes of Woodsies who know the significance of these rings and these words and to be surrounded by the true love of those who traveled from near and far to hear us sing.
5. How do you plan to stay connected to SMWC after graduating?
Saint Mary-of-the-Woods College will always be a part of my life, long after I graduate. This special place and the incredible people that I have encountered here have become an irremovable part of my story. The love, lessons and blessings that I have found here will be with me in all of my days.
