The agreement formalizes a partnership designed to facilitate the referral of qualified graduates from applicable undergraduate or pre-professional programs at SMWC to the Master of Science in Athletic Training program at ISU.

SMWC President Brennan J. Randolph noted the importance of the collaboration for students.

“Saint Mary-of-the-Woods College is excited to partner with Indiana State University to open pathways for highly prepared students into the Master’s in Athletic Training program,” Randolph said. “We are proud of the success of our graduates who have proven themselves to be academically prepared for a graduate degree, where they can take their career to a new level. We are excited to forge yet another partnership in our local community and with ISU. SMWC students are ‘called to care’ for individuals in this field and have been well-prepared in our values-based, faith-based learning community.”

Indiana State University President Michael Godard, Ph.D., shakes hands with SMWC President Brennan Randolph after they both signed the MOU designed to create a clear pathway for SMWC grads to pursue advanced studies in Athletic Training.

The MOU reflects the institutions’ mutual goal of fostering academic partnerships that enhance student success, strengthen regional collaboration and support workforce development in Indiana and beyond.

“By welcoming qualified graduates from SMWC’s undergraduate and pre-professional programs, we are strengthening both institutions’ commitment to preparing exceptional health professionals who will go on to serve communities across the state and beyond,” said Michael Godard, Ph.D., president of ISU.
