1. Why did you choose SMWC?
I chose Saint Mary-of-the-Woods College because of its welcoming and supportive community where students are treated as individuals rather than just numbers. The smaller class sizes and close connections with professors create an environment that encourages both personal and academic growth. SMWC also offers unique opportunities in my areas of interest, along with the flexibility to balance academics, work and personal commitments. The college’s mission of leadership and service aligns with my own goals, and the historic, peaceful campus provides the perfect place to focus and succeed.

2. Why did you choose your major?
I chose to major in Kinesiology and minor in Psychology because I’ve always been interested in both the physical and mental aspects of human performance. Kinesiology allows me to study the body, movement and health, while Psychology helps me understand behavior, motivation and mental well-being. Together, they give me a well-rounded foundation for my goal of becoming a sports psychologist. I want to work with athletes, not only on their physical performance, but also on their mental strength, confidence and resilience. This combination of studies gives me the knowledge and skills I need to make a real impact in the field.

3. What is your favorite place on campus?
My favorite place on campus, other than my dorm, would be the stables. I love the horses we have on campus.

4. What is a favorite memory you have from your Woods experience?
My favorite memory would be when we had to do CPR on a baby mannequin. When the teacher stepped out of the class, we all put the babies in our seats and hid. When she walked in, she burst out laughing because we were playing Baby Shark.

5. How do you plan to stay connected to SMWC after graduating?
I plan to stay connected with my teachers and keep them updated on what I do after college and continue the relationships I made with them.
