Woods Online accounting program ranked top 20

Saint Mary-of-the-Woods College (SMWC) is listed among the best online accounting programs for the 2014 academic year according to BestColleges.com. SMWC’s Woods Online accounting program is recognized as one of the 20 best colleges that offer online bachelor’s degrees in accounting.

“This ranking reflects the entire department’s student-centered approach to education,” states D.J. Wasmer, Ph.D., business and leadership department chair at SMWC. “We have been early adopters of various technologies that are focused on the improvement of distance students’ learning and constantly strive to improve all the courses and majors we offer. BestColleges.com helps prospective college students make informed decisions about their future. The organization compiles school rankings using information from IPEDS (Integrated Postsecondary Education Data System) and College Navigator databases, both maintained by the National Center for Education Statistics. The schools are ranked based on acceptance rate, retention rate, graduation rate and enrollment rate.
