5 things to do as a new student at Saint Mary-of-the-Woods College

Blog | 11.02.2018

Get to know the culture, traditions and people of SMWC with these five activities:

1. Sign-up for Big/Little

This is a long-standing tradition that pairs new students with upperclassmen for a week of fun activities and special treats.

2. Ride a Pomeroy Pedals Bike

The College owns more than 20 bikes in its free bike-share program. You are welcome to use any of them to get where you need to go.

3. Meet the President

President Dottie L. King, Ph.D., can be found on campus eating lunch in the dining hall or driving around on her blue golf cart. As a former math professor, she loves to talk to students about their day and their studies.

4. Sister Companion Program

The College has a program where students and sisters spend time together talking, playing games and just getting to know each other.

5. Find your Zen place

The campus has so many special places that one will surely become your favorite place!
