MLD Concentrations
The Master of Leadership Development offers three concentrations. All students must pick one concentration to complete alongside the core courses.
Concentrations:
•Not-For-Profit Leadership
•Organizational Leadership
•Sports Leadership
Not-For-Profit Leadership
The Not-for-Profit Leadership concentration is intended to help students enhance their leadership skills in any not-for-profit organization. They will learn how to work as an integral part of the organization by building relationships with business partners, providing motivation for success and helping the organization reach its highest potential. A strong framework of ethics and critical thinking skills puts graduates a step ahead of the rest.
Organizational Leadership
The Organizational Leadership concentration is a student’s tool to leading and managing in the for-profit business arena. It is also the key to success in an increasingly global and diverse society. Not only will they be getting the grounding in business and leadership that is needed, but they will learn how to implement that knowledge in an ethical way and use critical thinking to work through challenges in the workplace.
Sports Leadership
The Sports Leadership concentration enhances students’ leadership skills for any sports-related career. Covering both the essentials of facility management and coaching, graduates will develop the skills and knowledge to lead positions in a variety of fields, including sports marketing, information, wellness, fitness and professional or intercollegiate sports teams.
