Rumely award image

The Frances Murphy Rumely award is presented annually to an individual who has demonstrated outstanding dedication to and leadership within civic, religious or educational organizations. The award is given in memory of Frances Murphy Rumely, class of 1935, whose life was a celebration of the education she received at her beloved Woods.

Criteria: A living graduate of Saint Mary-of-the-Woods College who has demonstrated outstanding dedication to civic, religious or educational organizations. In addition, has volunteered significantly to one or more such organizations and demonstrated leadership through her/his work for such organizations, whether paid or volunteer.

Recipients will be selected by the SMWC Alumni Association Board of Directors. The selection committee will select a recipient based on the following:

  • Recipient must be a graduate of the College; and
  • Recipient has demonstrated outstanding dedication to civic, religious or educational organizations; and
  • Recipient has volunteered significantly to one or more such organizations and demonstrated leadership through his/her work for such organizations, whether paid or volunteer.

Nominations will be accepted from alumni and friends of Saint Mary-of-the-Woods College.

Nominations are due by January 15.
Incomplete nomination forms will not be accepted for consideration.
