C.A.M.P. Discovery Travel FAQs
- Saint Mary-of-the-Woods College was awarded the Indiana Youth Programs on Campus grant that provides the opportunity to fully cover the costs of the faculty-led Discovery Travel component for all courses. This will include the student’s airfare, all meals, housing, entry fees, excursions and more.
- All courses will accept 10 students per course.
- All students who attend the on-campus course are also agreeing to attend the fully-funded, Discovery Travel session.
- There will be two or three adults who attend each of the faculty-led Discovery Travel experiences, including one or two from the Saint Mary-of-the-Woods College faculty and the possibility of one high school teacher from an Indiana high school.
- Discovery Travel experiences are part of the sessions and there will be required assignment/project that each student will complete as part of the C.A.M.P. at The Woods course requirements. Attending both the on-campus C.A.M.P. at The Woods session and the Discovery Travel component are required to earn the two college credits because both aspects are needed to fulfill the course assignment/project requirements.
The details of these faculty-led Discovery Travel trips will be further discussed during the Into C.A.M.P. at The Woods meeting.
