Education Pedagogy Overview

A minor in Education Pedagogy can complement any major well at Saint Mary-of-the-Woods College. If you are passionate about teaching your major of interest, this minor is the perfect fit!

While completing the Education Pedagogy minor does not lead to a license or certificate, students gain skills and knowledge in education in a global society, educational psychology and an understanding of mild disabilities. The 21-credit hour curriculum will fully prepare you to take new ideas into the classroom, no matter what subject you teach.


What is Education Pedagogy?
Education Pedagogy is the theory of the approach to teaching. As part of the Education Pedagogy program here at SMWC, you will learn overlining theories and methods for teaching in the education field.

What can you do with a minor in Education Pedagogy?
Although the completion of an Education Pedagogy minor does not lead to a license or certificate, completing the minor will enhance your skills when preparing to teach in the classroom.
