The Kinesiology – Recreation Science concentration is for individuals interested in working with people in activity settings such as sports coaching, teaching physical education and/or health, programming activities in community settings, and leading outdoor experiential opportunities. You will gain knowledge about kinesiology with an in-depth look at the study of health and wellness.

The concentration in Recreation Science will also incorporate classes in coaching effectiveness, psychosocial aspects of sport, areas and facilities, management, human growth and development, human resource development, health and physical education curriculum development, and outdoor adventure education.

Minors of possible interest to students pursuing this degree include Leadership Studies, Education Pedagogy, Myoskeletal Massage Therapy, Biology, Human Resource Management, and Sociology.
