White promoted Director of FNP program at SMWC

Marcia Miller, Ph.D., RN, dean of the division of nursing and science at Saint Mary-of-the-Woods College (SMWC), announced that Crystal White, DNP, FNP-C, RN, has been promoted to the director of the Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) program. White joined SMWC in January 2021 as adjunct faculty and became a full-time assistant professor in July 2021.

Miller said of White’s new role, “We are very pleased that Dr. White has accepted the position as our director of the Family Nurse Practitioner program. Her supportive leadership and student-centered approach will be an asset in her new role.”

White earned her Master of Science in Nursing with a focus in Primary Care from Indiana Wesleyan University in 2012 and a Doctor of Nursing Practice from Frontier Nursing University in 2020. Her clinical practice includes family practice, women’s health, occupational medicine and urgent care.

She has been an RN since 1992 and a family nurse practitioner since 2012.
