1. Visit a pumpkin patch or apple orchard

It’s the season of pumpkin spice and apple cider. What better way to celebrate fall than to go to a pumpkin patch or apple orchard? From hayrides to taking fun fall pictures, there are plenty of orchards and pumpkin patches within ten miles of Terre Haute.

2. Have a fall picnic

A great way to embrace the fall weather is to have a picnic! Terre Haute is home to several parks that serve as a great setting for a fall picnic. Just pack your basket, grab some friends and head to the park of your choice.

3. Go for a walk

Along with being home to several parks, Terre Haute also has several trails that range from 2 miles long to over 10 miles. These trails will take you through a variety of places in town and provide the perfect scenery for a fall walk.

4. Attend a local market or festival

Terre Haute is home to several locally owned businesses that can be found at fall markets, the Terre Haute Farmer’s Market and the Covered Bridge Festival, which is known throughout the Wabash Valley.

5. Fall movie marathon

We know that fall evenings can be chilly. Perhaps you’re just looking for a night in with friends. Gathering together in a lounge space or in your dorm room for a movie night is a great fall activity.
