  • July 2014 Susan Decker leads the Board of Trustees through a discussion that lays out three pillars of strategic priorities: Academics, Facilities/IT and Marketing/Communications with threads of spirituality and enrollment

  • Spring 2015 Thomas P. Miller and Associates is hired to bring together previous committee work from the President’s Council, Woods Online Taskforce, and 2013-14 strategic plan committee work; complete research, conduct focus groups and provide a foundation for formalizing the plan
  • May 2015 Board makes decision to expand mission to add men into all programs
  • Fall 2015 President appoints Strategic Plan Committees to begin work to build plan adding tactics and timeline
  • Fall 2015 New vision statement and new diversity statement are recommended from the Strategic Plan Committees and approved by the College leadership
  • Fall 2015 President appoints Coed Implementation Team to work to determine how best to bring men into the campus program while continuing to honor the 175 year women’s college tradition; presents updated value statement recommendation which is approved by the College leadership
  • Spring 2016 Campaign Feasibility Study is completed by Johnson, Grossnickle and Associates
  • Spring 2016 Master Plan is completed by Browning Day
  • Spring 2016 Recommendations from the Coed Implementation Team are incorporated into the plan
  • May 2016 Draft plan with objectives, tactics and full timeline presented to President for approval
  • July 2016 Board of Trustees approves final plan
  • Fall 2016 President appoints Strategic Plan Steering Committee to oversee implementation of plan tactics and measurement of outcomes
