As Ring Day gets closer and closer, Saint Mary-of-the-Woods College (SMWC) juniors gather around a table in O’Shaughnessy Dining Hall and pound on it while chanting a countdown to the big day. Around the room, each Woodsie who has already earned her ring stands on her chair holding her hand high, showing her ring proudly. This Ring Day Pounding tradition is one way that students show their excitement for the upcoming ceremony.

The Indiana Junior Science and Humanities Symposium (InJSHS), hosted at Saint Mary-of-the-Woods College (SMWC) on March 5-7, 2015, may serve as the first step for participating Indiana high school students in realizing their own potential.

Saint Mary-of-the-Woods College (SMWC) alums serving in their own communities across the nation and the world – that is the vision behind the Week of Service, which will take place April 12-18, 2015. Free City-Wide Tax Day

Free City-Wide Tax Day

Saint Mary-of-the-Woods College (SMWC) has coordinated the first ever Terre Haute Free City-Wide Tax Day in coordination with the Vigo County Public Library, Indiana State University, Ivy Tech, Harrison College and Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology. It will take place on Sat., Feb. 28 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Vigo County Public Library at 7th and Poplar.
