Pictures
Composite photos are head shot photos of you in your commencement garb. More importantly, these are the photos that are grouped together by graduating class that hang in the hallways of Guerin. If you miss the opportunity to have it taken, you cannot be included in the group composites at a later time. Follow these instructions to register at University Composites and schedule a time to have your photo taken. Dates available for photos are April 18 and May 4.
Professional pictures will be taken of each graduate as they cross the stage. The photo company will contact you directly regarding any purchases you may want to make. A group picture will be taken directly following Commencement.
Baccalaureate Liturgy
Baccalaureate will be held in the Church of the Immaculate Conception at 10:30 a.m. The doors will open at 10 a.m.
Commencement tickets
All guests sitting in Cecelian Auditorium will be required to have a ticket before entering. Guests sitting in the Dining Hall viewing Commencement via the live-feed will not be required to have a ticket. The number of tickets each graduate receives will be communicated to the graduates once that number is known.
Both locations will open their doors at 1:15 p.m. Entrance to the Conservatory will be through the front doors with the exception of those guests with special needs. Special needs guests should come to the north door (the one with the handicap ramp) by 1 p.m. for early admittance. After the doors open at 1:15, it is very difficult to seat guests with wheel chairs; therefore, it is very important that they arrive early. Companions sitting with them will be allowed to enter at the same time.
Note: Strollers and beverages are not allowed in the auditorium.
Commencement line-up
Graduates will line-up for the Commencement ceremony at 1:30 p.m. outside between Guerin Hall and the Conservatory. If it is raining, you will meet in the Conservatory to line-up.
Graduation gown, cap, hood, and tassel
Each student participating in Commencement will need to wear Commencement garb (gown, cap, hood) for Commencement. You do not need to purchase these items; the College has a supply and will loan them to you. Graduate students have the option to purchase their Academic hood. Please contact Graduate Studies (812) 535-5206 for pricing. Each student will also receive a tassel which is their's to keep. Following Commencement, all borrowed items are to be returned to the rotunda in Guerin Hall.
