With the new academic year come new faces in the offices of Saint Mary-of-the-Wood College (SMWC). As the College positions itself for growth, the addition of experienced staff members who bring their expertise into their new roles will continue to move the College forward.
Cory Campbell, CPA, CGMA, CFE – Chief Financial Officer/Controller
As the chief financial officer/controller at the College, Campbell directs the financial and business affairs of the College, including general accounting, preparation of interim and year-end financial statements, preparing financial analyses of operations, internal auditing, budgetary controls, managing the year-end audit and working with the Board of Trustees to oversee endowment managers and to obtain financing for working capital and capital projects.
When Campbell came to The Woods as registrar in 2014, he brought industry and academic administrative experience, including general manager of Sodexo; sales and marketing representative for Crazy Mountain Imports; vice president of operations for Tee Time Imports; chief financial officer for Field Tuff, Inc.; staff accountant for Diamond Financial; and adjunct instructor, assistant registrar and assistant director of student services for Indiana State University.
Campbell received his Bachelor of Science from University of Illinois and his Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from Eastern Illinois University. He is also currently attending Case Western Reserve University to obtain his Doctor of Management degree. He is also a member of various committees and professional affiliations including American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), Association of Certified Fraud Examiners (ACFE) and American Association of Collegiate Registrar’s and Admission Offices.
Brennan Randolph, MBA – Vice President for Enrollment Management
Accepting the role of vice president for enrollment management, Randolph serves as a member of the President’s Cabinet and as the institution’s chief enrollment, retention and financial aid officer. He serves as a leader who motivates and manages staff and develops and implements innovative enrollment strategies to involve the entire college community. Randolph oversees campus admission, graduate admission, Woods Online admission, Woods Online administration and financial aid.
Randolph brings 16 years of higher education experience to The Woods. As the previous president of Harrison College, Randolph managed all aspects of the college and contributed to campus operation, enrollment flow, retention efforts, program growth, among other areas of success. Before becoming the president, Randolph held various positions at the college including assistant executive director, director of education, accounting supervisor and financial aid analyst.
Randolph obtained his Bachelor of Business Administration from Northwood University in Midland, Mich., and his Master of Business Administration from Indiana Wesleyan University. He was awarded Campus President of the Year by Harrison College in 2013 and 2014. He is a member of Terre Haute Downtown Rotary, an ex-officio board member of the Terre Haute Chamber of Commerce, a board member for the United Way of the Wabash Valley and the Rural Health Innovation Collaborative and on the supervisory committee for Vigo County Federal Credit Union.
Marie Elliott, BS – Enrollment Development Manager
Elliott’s primary responsibility as enrollment development manager is to cultivate relationships with external businesses, civic organizations, non-profit groups and higher education institutions in the local and regional communities. This business strategy will assist Elliott in increasing enrollment of adult learners in the graduate programs and in the undergraduate program, Woods Online.
In her previous positions, Elliott gained valuable experience in admission roles that she now brings to The Woods. She served as an admissions counselor at Saint Joseph’s College and Indiana State University, as well as international credentialing coordinator at Indiana State University.
Elliott received her Bachelor of Science in Communication Studies from Manchester University and took courses toward a Master of Arts in Organizational Leadership from Lewis University in Romeoville, Ill. She also volunteers as a soccer coach for the Vigo County Youth Soccer Association and as an Autism Speaks Advocate in the Terre Haute community.
