What can you do with a Master’s in Business Administration?

Getting your Master’s in Business Administration opens many doors for new or advanced opportunities. Here’s some jobs for people with an MBA:

You will notice that most of these positions are in leadership or management. That is because the MBA program provides the tools you need to advance in your career and succeed in those jobs (more than you would without an MBA).

Do I have to take the GMAT?

Applicants are not required to submit GMAT scores with their application. It is optional for those who wish to strengthen their applications in the event that they do not meet the GPA or work experience eligibility requirements.

Do I have to have a bachelor’s degree in business to get an MBA?

A bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution is required to be admitted into the program, but it does not have to be in business.

When do MBA classes start?

Cohorts begin every February and August starting in 2023. Two eight-week courses are taken each session for the one-year track (one course per 8 weeks for the two-year track). Those who choose to add a concentration in healthcare administration or global leadership will add nine additional credit hours to their track.

Can I work during the program?

Yes! The MBA program is designed for working professionals. With the program at SMWC being 100% virtual immersive online, you do not have to worry about the distance between you and our campus. You can choose to complete the program in one year or two years.

Will financial aid cover the additional courses for the concentration?

Yes, however, you must enroll with your concentration from the time of application for Financial Aid to cover the additional courses.
