When is Reunion 2024?

Reunion is May 31 through June 2, 2024.

Registration

When may I register?

Reunion registration will open to all alums on Tuesday, February 20. Early registration ends March 15. Open registration ends May 15. Registrations after May 15 will include a $50 late fee.

If I did not register in advance, may I still attend?

Yes. Please call Heather Tighe at 812-535-5234 to register.

Do you offer any discounts?

Yes. If you are a Sister of Providence or you have graduated in the last ten years, you are eligible to receive a discount. Please call Heather Tighe at 812-535-5234 to discuss pricing with your discount. Discounts cannot be applied through online registration.

Who should I contact if I have questions regarding my Reunion package?

If you have questions about Reunion package options, please contact Heather Tighe at 812-535-5234 or alumni@smwc.edu. A registration fee of $50 will apply to all registrations and has been incorporated into all packages.

Payment

How can I pay?

We accept all major credit cards. Payment may be made when you confirm your registration via online or by phone. If you prefer to pay by check, it may be mailed to PO Box 70, Office of Advancement, Saint Mary of the Woods, IN 47876. All registration fees must be postmarked by May 15.

May I pay when I arrive?

Payment must be received on or before May 15. If you pay when you arrive, a late fee of $50 will be assessed.

Refunds and Cancellations

If I register but don’t attend, will I get my money back?

Cancellations made prior to May 15 will receive a full refund, or you may opt to gift your registration cost towards your Class Gift. Cancellations made after May 15 will receive a reimbursement, less the $50 registration fee.

Alcohol on Campus

Under Indiana state law, people younger than 21 may not purchase or be served alcoholic beverages. The College requests that all alumni conform to the letter and spirit of the law.

SMWC’s food service, Aladdin, holds the liquor license for service on campus. Access to alcohol provided during Reunion weekend (at dinners and at large event venues) will be regulated as follows:

  • No outside alcohol is allowed at a Reunion event where Aladdin is serving
  • Alcohol needs to remain within the venue in which it is being served
  • Aladdin will serve alcohol at meals and other all-Reunion and class-specific events

Check-In/Check-Out

When may I check in for Reunion?

Check-in begins at 1 p.m. on Friday on the main floor of Le Fer Hall.

May I check in early?

No. We will be preparing for your arrival until check-in time at 1 p.m.

When do I check out of my room?

Please check out of your residence hall and return your room key(s) by 11:30 on Sunday on the main floor, Le Fer Hall, at the check-out desk.

Will I have assistance with my luggage?

Reunion student workers will be available to help carry any luggage to and from your room. Please request assistance at the check-in table.

Housing

Who may stay on campus?

Housing will be prioritized for the Golden (1974) and Silver (1999) Reunion classes. Rooms include a single bed with sheets, a blanket, a pillow and a pillowcase. In addition, hangers, A/C, soap, cups, towels, hand towels and washcloths are provided. Rooms also include a desk, dresser and closet. To request additional sheets, accessories or towels, please visit the check-in desk.

Are alternative housing options available if I won’t be staying on campus?

Yes! A block of hotel rooms has been secured at a special rate at a variety of Terre Haute hotels. You may book your hotel room by calling or visiting the hotel’s website prior to the cut-off date. The rooms are available on a first-come, first-served basis. After the cut-off date, the hotels will release the rooms, and the normal rate will resume.

Is there access to a kitchen?

All dorm buildings have access to a kitchen. Each residential floor of Le Fer Hall has a kitchen with a refrigerator, stove and microwave. Each suite in Les Bois comes equipped with a refrigerator and microwave.

Note: Room keys will not be issued. Please leave valuable items at home.

Guests

May I bring my spouse or children?

Yes. Please indicate this during your registration process.

Are guests allowed to attend meals?

Yes. Please arrange for guest meals during your registration process. However, in order to attend the Banquet, guests must be over the age of 21.

Meals

Are there vegetarian, vegan or gluten-free alternatives?

Yes. Please inform the Alumni Office of your special dietary needs during your registration process. Additionally, you are responsible for notifying the wait staff of your dietary needs at each meal.

Can my guests attend the Banquet?

Yes, as long as they are over the age of 21.

Parking & Transportation

How close is parking available to buildings?

  • Parking is available in designated areas.
  • Handicapped parking is available at the northeast entrance of Le Fer Hall and in front of Les Bois.
  • Unloading and loading zones are near all Le Fer Hall entrances and Les Bois’s main entrance.

Will there be a shuttle to help me around campus?

Golf cart transportation is available throughout the weekend to accommodate guests who need assistance. This includes transportation to and from the Reunion banquet and other major Reunion events. Note: The golf carts are intended to help guests who need assistance getting from one location to another on campus. They are not a general shuttle service. There will not be handicap accessible shuttle service available.

Other

What do I need to bring?

You might feel more “at home” by bringing an additional bath towel, your own pillow, a hair dryer, an umbrella, extra hangers and/or an alarm clock. Don’t forget to check the weather before you pack.

May any alum attend Reunion regardless of class year?

Yes. All alumni are welcome to attend Reunion annually. Those celebrating milestone Reunions are especially encouraged to attend.

Can I smoke on campus?

No. Smoking is prohibited on SMWC property.

May I bring my pet?

Service animals are welcome. Please submit documentation of the service animal to the Alumni Office prior to registration. Personal pets are not permitted on campus. Please contact the Alumni Office at 812-535-5270 for questions regarding your service animal.

Is there Wi-Fi available on campus?

Yes, there is Wi-Fi available to visitors on campus. The network name is “SMWC-Guest” and does not require a password to access.

Will there be childcare available for my children?

The College does not provide childcare for those children attending Reunion with their families. The College also does not maintain a list of childcare options and is unable to provide any recommendations currently. Childcare arrangements are the responsibility of the family.
