Saint Mary-of-the-Woods College (SMWC) recognized 23 employees for their years of service to the institution at the annual President’s Christmas Dinner.
SMWC President Brennan J. Randolph offered his gratitude to all the College’s employees as they strive to make a difference in students’ lives.
It doesn’t matter what your job is, every employee helps to provide students with opportunities to learn in this community where lives are shaped and prepared for a successful future. I would encourage you to open your eyes through a different lens when you think about the importance of your work, the difference it makes, and the responsibility you hold. God is working and when your eyes are open you will be blessed by what you might see,” Randolph said.
Janet Clark, Ph.D., provost, presented a toast to the audience to celebrate the Christmas season and the service anniversaries and milestones of employees. “What makes this place special is us: the people who show up every day with heart, commitment, and a shared sense of purpose,” Clark said. “May this season remind us of our blessings, renew our hope, and strengthen the community we’re proud to call home. To all of you and to the SMWC community we build together. Cheers!”
After the awards were presented as is tradition, Dawn Tomaszewski, SP, ’74, general superior of the Sisters of Providence and SMWC trustee, shared a reading of the Christmas story. To conclude the evening, all attendees sang “Silent Night.”
Two employees, Becky Barbour and Tracy Richardson, were recognized for 30 years of service.
